Guernsey remains the largest captive domicile in Europe and number four globally. It was the first domicile to introduce the Protected Cell Company (PCC) concept that has become widely emulated around the world. Guernsey has over 737 captive companies and protected cells.
There is also a very well developed support infrastructure, with all the large accounting firms, solicitors associated with large London firms and two firms of actuaries present.
Central European location with good flight connections (London 35 min. flight and Birmingham 60 min. flight). Guernsey is not part of the EU but is recognised by the IMF and subscribes to international financial standards.

Solvency requirements are a minimum of 18% of net written premium and/or £100,000 for a captive company
